Meghan Markle’s latest promotional campaign for her lifestyle brand As Ever has drawn attention not only for its products, but also for the reported value of the Duchess of Sussex’s clothing and jewellery.
The Express reports estimated the accessories and outfits featured in the advert totalled close to £80,000.
Luxury styling
The Instagram campaign promoted As Ever’s expanding range, including fruit preserves, chocolates, teas, candles and honey.
According to the Daily Mail, Meghan’s wardrobe in the video included designer denim, tailored trousers, knitwear and custom gowns worth roughly £18,820 before jewellery was added.
The duchess reportedly wore “Upper Village” jeans by Montecito designer Tracy James priced at £302, alongside £1,250 trousers from The Row and a custom-made Oscar de la Renta dress.
Her jewellery collection included a £47,168 Logan Holloway diamond tennis bracelet, £5,250 Birks Snowflake earrings, a £7,050 Cartier Love bracelet and a Cartier Tank Francaise watch reportedly valued at £17,800.
Brand expansion
In the post accompanying the advert, Meghan wrote: “Welcome to the World of As Ever.”
The caption continued: “What began with fruit from Meghan’s garden, simmered into preserves in her home kitchen, has inspired our curated collections to bring surprise and delight to your everyday.”
The campaign arrived days after online users noticed sizing charts briefly appearing on the As Ever website for adult and children’s T-shirts, including plus-size options up to 5XL.
The company does not currently sell clothing, and the pages were later replaced with a message stating: “We can’t find what you’re looking for.”
Netflix split
The developments follow the end of Meghan’s partnership with Netflix in March, with the company now positioning As Ever as an independent venture.
An As Ever spokesperson said: “We have experienced meaningful and rapid growth and As Ever is now ready to stand on its own.”
Netflix also commented on the split, stating: “Meghan’s passion for elevating everyday moments in beautiful yet simple ways inspired the creation of the As Ever brand.”
The streaming giant added that the duchess would continue developing the business independently in its “next chapter.”
