Trump adviser Sebastian Gorka has revealed an alleged secret emergency letter for JD Vance following growing threats against Donald Trump.
In the podcast “Pod Force One,” Trump adviser Sebastian Gorka recently appeared and spoke about an alleged secret letter, Fox News reports.
According to Gorka, the letter is supposedly kept hidden in the Oval Office and was reportedly intended for JD Vance.
However, the secret letter would only come into use if Trump were no longer able to serve or carry out his duties as president.
Security concerns at the center
The statement comes in the wake of several security threats against Trump. According to Gorka, the letter serves as guidance for Vance in the event of a national crisis or an attack targeting Trump.
Gorka declined to provide further details about what the letter specifically contains.
Instead, he commented on whether formal procedures are in place regarding the presidency and the line of succession in the United States, Fox News reports.
Under the U.S. Constitution, if a sitting president dies or is otherwise unable to fulfill the role, the vice president automatically assumes office.
President close to death
The many threats are not the closest Trump has come to being forced to hand over the presidency.
Back in July 2024, the highly publicized incident occurred in which Trump was reportedly just centimeters away from being killed.
The man behind the attempted assassination was 20-year-old Thomas Crooks, who was reportedly killed shortly after the attack, according to CNN.
The gunman was positioned on the roof of a nearby building, from where he managed to shoot Trump in the ear. Just seconds after the shot was fired, Trump was shielded by Secret Service agents and taken to safety.
