The aircraft mysteriously disappeared from radar shortly after taking off from Lilongwe, the nation’s capital, en route to Mzuzu International Airport in northern Malawi.

In response to the crisis, President Lazarus Chakwera has canceled his scheduled trip to the Bahamas.
The president’s office confirmed the search efforts, but as of now, there has been no contact with the missing plane.
