Garrison claimed these moments happen “constantly” now.

Public figures spend countless hours under bright studio lights and high-definition cameras.

Every gesture gets measured, and every verbal stumble is dissected by millions of viewers online.

In an era of non-stop digital scrutiny, even brief moments on stage can trigger intense national debate.

Growing online scrutiny

President Donald Trump finds himself at the centre of renewed speculation regarding his physical well-being. A popular online expert has published video breakdowns analyzing public appearances from the commander-in-chief.

Clinical and forensic psychologist Dr. John Paul Garrison hosts analysis videos on his YouTube channel under the name Dr. G. According to The Irish Star, Garrison argues that recent rally footage reveals a distinct pattern of physical tics and speech issues.

The psychologist pointed to a clip where the president approached a microphone. Instead of saying “Thank you” clearly, Trump seemed to utter something closer to “A-nank you” before making a quick correction.

Official medical claims

While anyone can stumble over words occasionally, Garrison claimed these moments happen “constantly” now. He noted a “distinct change” in how the president forms words, adding, “He’s having a hard time enunciating.”

The psychologist argued the slurred speech is “concerning neurologically because it could be post-stroke behavior.” He further suggested the symptoms could align with “some degree of dementia, Alzheimer’s type dementia, Lewy body dementia.”

The White House pushes back strongly against any suggestions of cognitive decline. White House physician Dr. Sean Barbabella recently issued an official letter stating the president enjoys “strong cardiac, pulmonary, neurological and overall physical function,” describing him in “excellent health.” Trump has also repeatedly boasted about passing three cognitive exams.

Watching the movements

Beyond verbal stumbles, Garrison focused on physical movements at the lectern. He highlighted footage showing what he described as an arm tremor while Trump held onto the podium.

The expert claimed these muscle twitches appear to worsen during moments of stress. “When he’s agitated, he’s more likely to have these types of spasms,” Garrison explained, noting that “more intensely emotional” moments can prompt a loss of control.

Garrison clarified that he is not offering a formal medical diagnosis. Still, he insisted that the combination of speech changes and physical spasms “seem to correlate” with quiet moments when the president stops speaking.
