Fox News Media confirmed anchor Maria Bartiromo’s immediate departure from the network after nearly thirteen years.

Television host Maria Bartiromo abruptly ended her long run at Fox Business after nearly thirteen years on air.

Viewers received no warning during her Thursday morning show that the broadcast would mark her final appearance.

Fox News Media broke the news shortly after the show wrapped up. The parent company distributed a brief press release confirming the anchor’s immediate departure from the network.

“We thank Maria for her work over the last 12 ½ years and wish her all the best on her next chapter,” a network spokesperson said in the release, according to the Daily Mail.

Mystery behind departure

Her sudden departure leaves key questions unanswered. Fox News representatives stayed silent when the Daily Mail asked whether executives fired the star host or if she resigned voluntarily.

Network bosses acted fast to erase her personal branding from daily broadcasts.

Executives renamed her flagship morning program Mornings With Fox Business, placing a rotating crew of guest anchors in the main chair for now.

Her weekend show underwent the exact same corporate refresh. Her weekend business show was similarly rebranded, dropping her name entirely to become Fox Business’s Wall Street.

Sweeping channel changes

Anchor Cheryl Casone stepped in to guide the remaining broadcasts this week. Fox management promised to announce a permanent hosting decision later.

Bartiromo made TV history decades ago as the first reporter broadcasting live daily from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. The quiet exit closes a major chapter in modern financial television.

Her departure highlights how quickly networks move to rebrand established shows.

Executive teams often act within hours to fill vacant anchor chairs and protect daily morning ratings, the Daily Mail reports.
