The Vice President had some very interesting thoughts during his book tour for his spiritual memoir.
JD Vance’s newest book, Communion: Finding My Way Back to Faith, came out this summer on June 16.
Somehow, Vance is still promoting his book in which he details how he found his way to the Catholic Church.
In a podcast interview this week, a discussion led to some very sinister quotes from the Vice President of the United States.
A newly minted Catholic invokes the end times
Speaking on a podcast with Bryce Crawford, a 22-year-old Christian YouTuber with over a million followers who also has some very conservative views on Christianity, JD Vance had some very controversial things to say while promoting his memoir.
When the young host asked him what he thought about the possibility of the world coming to an end, the VP had some interesting thoughts.
“Do I think we are in the end times? I don’t know. […] What I’m trying to focus on is doing as much of God’s work as possible and if that leads to the end times, OK, and if that leads to us building a better world that thrives and survives for a very long time after I’m gone, that’s great, too.”

There might also be an Antichrist among us on Earth
JD Vance, who converted to Roman Catholicism in 2019, was not done with his thoughts on how he perceives the world through the eyes of a high-ranking Catholic politician.
He elaborated on the end times by trying to clarify: “I think you got to just kinda try and have an attitude of: the end times may be coming, in fact they are coming, it’s just a question of whether they’re coming thousands of years down the road, or a few months down the road.”
He also claims that there may be an Antichrist in our midst. “I think there are things about the world that make me feel like, not shocked if the Antichrist was walking among us.”
A very common thing for a Catholic to say, according to JD’s friend
While some of these quotes might seem strange and out of place for a Vice President of the United States to say on a podcast, a friend came to his rescue.
Vance’s friend Rod Dreher, a conservative writer living in Hungary who used to be a Catholic himself, said that these comments are a “very, very common belief” in the Catholic Church.
“This might sound bonkers to someone who is outside the Christian religion, but it is a very, very common belief within Christianity,” Dreher said about Vance’s comments.
