That is exactly what happened when new photographs began circulating across social media.
Double or decoy
Recent images showing President Donald Trump boarding Air Force One with noticeably darker hair have sent internet sleuths into overdrive. The sudden transformation fueled widespread claims that a stand-in has taken his place, according to the Mirror.
Social media users quickly seized on the visual differences to push the body double narrative.
One observer on X wrote, “That’s not Trump. That is a body double. Or a body half because this person is half the size of the real Trump. Hair is half the color,” while another user simply commented, “That’s the body double.”
The hair speculation comes despite past attempts by the president to address long-standing rumors according to The Irish Star.
Speaking out last month, Trump stated, “Actually, for years, I had to suffer with people saying, ‘He wears a wig.’ I don’t wear a wig,” though the new look has only reignited online doubts.

Commentators on X pointed to visible bruising on his hands, with Aaron Rupar posting, “Oh my goodness – Trump’s hand looked absolutely awful yesterday.” Another user named Matt Rein asked, “Anyone want to ask the President why his hands look like this? Still waiting!”
Critics immediately offered harsh takes on the images.
One user wrote, “How long do we have to keep pretending that he isn’t decomposing right in front of us? When will the press do even the slightest bit of questioning?” Another added, “Looks like oxidized meat. Only happens when tissue is dead lol.”
Online fixations also turned to a mysterious shape near his waist in recent photos. One X user asked, “What is on his waist? A Fanny pack? A device?” while another wondered, “What is going on here?”
Despite the viral rumors, official medical reports reject all claims regarding his declining health. His physician recently stated that Trump “remains in excellent health, exhibiting robust cardiac, pulmonary, neurological and general physical function” and concluded he is “fully fit to execute the duties of the Commander-in-Chief and Head of State.”
