Melania Trump recently shared a glimpse into her dynamic with her husband. The comments came during an interview with Brian Kilmeade on Fox & Friends cited by Daily Express.
They discussed Donald Trump’s recent address to the United Nations General Assembly in New York. When it comes to giving feedback, the First Lady explained that she does not hold back.
“I told him he had great delivery, he did very well. And a great speech. So I tell him the truth,” she said. “Sometimes he doesn’t want to hear it, what I tell him, but that’s okay. I always say the truth.”
Nonstop schedule
Kilmeade also asked how the president was managing his second term. Global tensions have risen significantly in recent months.
“It’s very different, what’s going on around the world now. But I think he’s doing the best that he can,” Melania Trump noted.
She then praised his stamina. “He works nonstop. He has the most energy than anybody. He’s from morning until evening nonstop working,” she added.
A stark choice
Her remarks followed a tense UN speech. The president used the global stage to defend starting a war with Iran.
He told the assembly that he faced two distinct paths. He called on the Islamic Republic to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and negotiate a settlement.
“I have a big decision to make,” Donald Trump said. “Will a deal be made with Iran that lets them rebuild and create a far greater country than it ever was before, maybe one of the greatest in the Middle East or even the world.”
Taking a stand
He then delivered a harsh warning. “Or do I annihilate the Islamic Republic and do it quickly, never giving them a chance to kill and destroy people and countries again?”
He also claimed the Iranian leadership was acting out of weakness. “The terrorist regime is behaving badly, not because they are strong and confident, but because they are weak and desperate,” he said.
Most of the Iranian delegation walked out during the speech. Even so, the president revealed that his envoys, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, met with Iranian officials for three hours.
“It was a very good meeting,” Donald Trump told reporters, adding that the officials were “not the highest level, but it’s something.”
