Bose is the latest audio giant to join this retro revival. According to a recent announcement, the company has just revealed a brand new set of wired earbuds.
Cheaper than rivals
These new plug-and-play devices come with a very appealing price. The Bose Noise Cancelling Wired Earbuds will cost £99, according to the Daily Express.
That makes them quite a bit cheaper than their main wireless competitors. Apple currently sells its cheapest AirPods for £119.
Meanwhile, Sennheiser asks a steep £249 for its top-tier earbuds.
Going back to a physical cable also means you never have to panic about a dead battery on your morning commute again. You skip the frustrating Bluetooth pairing process completely.
Built for modern life
Users just plug the USB-C cable straight into their phone or laptop. It works instantly with both Apple and Android devices.
The wire offers another hidden advantage for media fans. A physical connection means the audio never lags behind the video on your screen.
This low latency is perfect for gaming or watching movies on the train. Despite the old-school design, the new earbuds pack plenty of modern tech.
They feature full Active Noise Cancellation to block out the loud world around you.
A cultural renaissance
A small remote sits on the 128 cm long cable to give you quick and easy controls. Bose even added a dedicated microphone to the back of this unit.
It picks up your voice clearly without rubbing against your jacket. Buyers get three sizes of silicone tips to ensure a good fit.
Bose Premium Consumer Audio president Raza Haider explained the sudden launch in a recent statement:
“Wired earbuds are experiencing a cultural renaissance, and when we decided to bring them back, we knew we had to make them even better than before.”
The earbuds hit shop shelves on October 15. Fans can grab them in black, white, or a special mint green color.
