A person believed to be the suspected perpetrator behind the shooting in Brussels has been shot and killed by police at a cafe in the city.
He was shot at a cafe in the Schaerbeek neighborhood, where he also lived, according to VRT.
The investigation continues after his death, so it is still being investigated with whom he had contact and why.
Two football fans killed
On Monday evening, several shots were fired in the centre of Brussels around 19.15 pm. Two people with Swedish nationality were killed. A third person – also a Swede – was seriously injured.
The suspected perpetrator fleed the scene, but was later hunted down during the night and killed this morning, local time.
