Elon Musk is being sued over campaign payments that never arrived. A new lawsuit, filed on May 8 in Philadelphia, says Musk’s political action committee—America PAC—didn’t keep its promise to voters who supported Donald Trump in the 2024 election.

The group encouraged people in seven swing states to sign a petition supporting the U.S. Constitution.

In return, voters were promised $47 at first, and later $100. They were also told they would get extra money for getting others to sign.

But some voters say they never got the money.

Voters Say They Were Left Out

Three voters from Pennsylvania, Nevada, and Georgia brought the lawsuit. These states were key battlegrounds in the election.

According to Digi24, the voters claim they signed the petition and helped spread it to others. But they either got less money than promised—or nothing at all.

“We were promised payment,” said one of the voters in the legal filing. “They didn’t keep their word.”

The lawsuit asks the court to let others who weren’t paid join the case as a group.

$1 Million-a-Day Offer Also Under Fire

The PAC also promised $1 million a day to people who signed a petition supporting free speech and gun rights. But another legal filing says that offer was false—and possibly part of a scam.

Musk has not commented on the lawsuit. His team also hasn’t responded to reporters.

Musk, who is CEO of Tesla and owner of X (formerly Twitter), has become more involved in politics. He’s been open about supporting Trump’s re-election.
