Hopefully you got enough shut-eye to face the day, and hopefully you spend the evening with your loved ones or at least relaxing, not thinking about anything other than the movie, you were watching.
The world never sleeps
But as some parts of the world are awake while you are sleeping, a lot have happened since you last checked the news.
So in order to not make you feel left out at the water cooler, here’s a summary of what’s happened while you were sleeping.
Trump leaving G7
US President Donald Trump has left the G7 Summit in Canada, telling reporters, he had to “be back early for obvious reasons”.
He is most likely referring to the increasing tensions between Israel and Iran, as the two nations continue to attack each other.
Evacuating Tehran?
During the night, Iran has sent it’s ninth wave of attack. The Israeli Air Defense is scrambling to fight off the attack.
Donald Trump has urged Iranians to evacuate the capital, Tehran. 10 million people live there.
Since the conflict escalated Friday, 224 people have been killed in Iran, 24 in Israel.
G7 supports Israel
In a joint statement, the leaders of the G7 countries have called for a “de-escalation of hostilites in the Middle East, including a ceasefire in Gaza”.
The statement added, that “Israel has a right to defend itself”.
US-Canada trade deal moving closer
Canadian PM, Mark Carney, said Monday, that he and Donald Trump have agreed on aiming at a trade deal between the two countries being wrapped up withing 30 days.
US tariffs on UK lowered
Donald Trump has formally signed an agreement lowering some import tariffs imposed on the UK.
The final trade deal between the two countries is still in the making, with the issues of sttel and aluminium still unresolved.
Kiyv hit in massive Russian strike
Early Tuesday morning, local time, residential areas of the capital of Ukraine, Kiyv, was hit by ballistic missiles and drones.
14 people have been killed and at least 44 are reported injured.
800 child bodies to be excavated in Ireland
A historian has exposed a sickening secret near an Irish home for unmarried mothers, as 800 bodies of children have been found in a mass grave in an old sewer.
It’s suspected that the staff at the Catholic home has dropped the bodies of the children in the sewers instead of giving them a proper burial.
