Moscow Slams Summit as “Useless Circus”
Russia’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova has unleashed a scathing attack on the recent G7 summit, branding it a “disgrace” and accusing Western leaders of failing to solve global crises.
Speaking on her radio show, Zakharova ridiculed the gathering as a glorified photo op with no real outcomes.
Billions Lost, Nothing Gained, Says Russia
According to Zakharova, G7 nations gathered only to confess the financial pain caused by their own anti-Russia sanctions.
“They admitted losing billions. No solutions, no directionm, just a press conference and a few pictures,” she scoffed.

In a stinging metaphor, Zakharova likened G7 leaders to “mice who kept eating a cactus despite pricking themselves.”
Her point being that the sanctions are backfiring on the West, but they persist anyway.

Zakharova called the G7 format “absolutely useless” and claimed it has no ability to influence or resolve the world’s major challenges.
“They’re just making things worse,” she said, accusing the summit of being completely divorced from reality.

While slamming the G7, Zakharova praised the G20 for at least admitting their policies have failed.
She suggested that, unlike the G7, the G20 acknowledged how their actions had boomeranged, even if they’re not offering better solutions either.

Rather than collapsing Russia, Zakharova argued that sanctions have damaged the very countries that imposed them.
She framed the current economic situation as the West’s own doing, claiming it’s a self-inflicted wound, not a strategic victory.
“Not the CIA, But Themselves”
In her closing remarks, Zakharova insisted that Western powers, not covert foreign interference, are the true architects of their own decline.
“They planted the bomb under their own system,” she said. “Not the CIA. The ‘patriots’ themselves.”
