Recall: 58 Million Pounds of Sausage Products Pulled From Shelves

Hillshire Brands have announced a massive recall of approximately 58 million pounds of corn dog and sausage products.

The recall affects items sold under the Jimmy Dean and State Fair brands due to potential wood fragment contamination.

Sold Nationwide

According to USDA, the affected products were sold nationwide at retailers including Walmart, Target, Kroger, and in schools and food service locations from March 17 to September 26, 2025.

The products carry establishment numbers “EST-582” or “P-894”.

Five Reported Injuries

There have been five reported injuries linked to the contamination.
