Prince William is opening up about a relatable parenting dilemma, as he feels the growing pressure around giving his son Prince George a phone.
While speaking with Brazilian TV host Luciano Huck during his trip to South America, the Prince of Wales revealed that phones and internet access are becoming a “tense issue” in the royal household, particularly as 12-year-old George prepares to begin secondary school next year.
“Our children don’t have phones,” William shared, referring also to Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7.
“I think when George moves on to secondary school, then maybe he might have a phone that has no internet access.”
“It’s getting to the point where it’s becoming a little bit of a tense issue,” he admitted with a smile. “But I think he understands why.”

“It’s the internet access I have a problem with. I think children can access too much stuff they don’t need to see online,” he said. “So having a phone and text message, the old sort of ‘brick phone’ as they call them, I think that’s fine.”
Daily life at home: school runs, sports, and normalcy
The royal dad also shared a glimpse into everyday life at home in Windsor, revealing that he and Kate split parenting duties, including drop-offs and playdates.
“Do you take them to school?” Huck asked.
“Oh, yeah. School run most days. I mean, Catherine and I share it. She probably does the bulk of them,” William replied.
