A new video from President Donald Trump has put another Washington landmark under scrutiny, this time focusing on the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.
The president signaled he wants it cleaned up, but offered no clear details on what that might involve.
In a short clip posted on Truth Social, Trump said he intends to “fix” the historic pool alongside Interior Secretary Doug Burgum.
“Study it hard”
The video, set to Andrea Bocelli’s Time to Say Goodbye, shows murky water, scattered leaves and crews attempting to scrub the surface.
A sign instructing visitors to stay out of the water also appears in the footage.

“This is the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool before Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum and I fix it,” Trump wrote.
He added, “Study it hard because you won’t be seeing this Biden filth and incompetence much longer!” The post carried the slogan “Make D.C. Beautiful Again.”
What Trump’s proposed restoration entails remains unclear.
Not the first
Last month, Donald Trump ordered the East Wing of the White House to be torn down to make space for a new ballroom estimated at $300 million.
Trump said the project reflected a desire he claimed past presidents had held for more than a century.

Trump later told Fox News that the demolition was not structurally necessary for the ballroom’s construction, joking that he simply preferred not to “sacrifice a great ballroom for an okay ballroom by leaving it right smack in the middle.”
More changes ahead
Other proposals for construction projects cited by The Independent includes a large arch inspired by Paris’s Arc de Triomphe, planned near the Lincoln Memorial, along with extensive redesigns of the White House grounds and Oval Office décor.
