Footage that appears to come from an ex–Rockstar Games developer’s animation reel is circulating online, prompting fresh discussion about early GTA 6 development material.
Show reel leak includes two unannounced gameplay snippets
The leaked montage, described online as a 2025 demo reel, contains animation tests from multiple Rockstar titles. Much of it resembles Red Dead Redemption 2 development work, but two short clips have drawn particular attention from Grand Theft Auto fans.
In one, a character removes a bicycle from a rack, rides it briefly, then parks it again—an animation sequence that appears tied to motion-capture testing. In another, a female character climbs down from the roof of a large truck, drops into the truck bed, and exits onto the street. Viewers noted that the model strongly resembles Lucia, one of GTA 6’s protagonists, and that the surrounding environment looks similar to the Vice City setting shown in official trailers.
Clips spread widely across social platforms
The footage first circulated on X and Reddit, where fans quickly labeled the material as the most credible GTA 6 leak in months. While the authenticity of the clips hasn’t been confirmed, the animations match the style of early-development tests often seen in legitimate industry demo reels.
The reel is believed to belong to a long-tenured former Rockstar animator, raising questions about how the material made its way online. Rockstar has not commented on the leak.

Community reacts ahead of anticipated trailer
Many fans praised the animation quality, noting how smooth the movement looks even in an early state. Others pointed out the timing, as the footage appeared just as speculation grows around Rockstar releasing a third GTA 6 trailer in the coming months.
For now, the clips offer only a narrow look at animation work—not gameplay, story details, or anything tied to finished assets—but their circulation highlights how difficult it has become for Rockstar to keep material under wraps as anticipation builds.
