Trump threatens new country, reposts suggestion that Rubio be made President

Everyone is guessing on what nation, Trump will target next.

Ever since the U.S. operation in Venezuela, which ended with the capture of Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro, tensions in the region have been skyrocketting, with people speculating if Trump will conduct another military operation in another country in the near future.

Trump has threatened the Colombian president with military action, has said that he wants Panama to cancel all Chinese port holdings, and last week, Trump said the U.S. will expand the war on drugs to include ground attacks against cartels in Mexico.

But Cuba might be the first country in line for a new American operation – especially if you have a look at Donald Trumps feed on Truth Social.

Rubio as president? “Sounds good to me!”

Venezuela and Cuba have long been allies, which means that the fall of Maduro has left Cuba exposed.

Remparkably, Trump also reposted a joke from another Truth Social user, stating that U.S. Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, will be president of Cuba.

A decades long tense relationship

Cuba’s relationship with Washington has been fraught since the 1959 revolution that brought Fidel Castro to power and aligned Havana with the Soviet Union.

Havana has repeatedly blamed the US embargo for chronic shortages, while Washington has framed it as leverage against communist rule.
