Recent operations also point to a growing emphasis on unmanned systems to weaken key enemy assets, reports Ukrinform.
Pressure at front
In the Novopavlivka sector, Ukrainian defenders are facing sustained assault attempts, according to reporting by Ukrinform.
Despite repeated efforts to break through, Russian troops have not secured major gains, instead incurring significant losses. Ukrainian forces, though outmatched in resources, continue to resist and stabilize the line.
Commanders describe the situation as difficult but contained, with defensive operations stretched to their limits.
Strike example
Ukrinform also reported that Ukrainian drone operators recently struck a Russian Buk-M3 anti-aircraft missile system in the Luhansk region.

The attack illustrates how unmanned systems are being used not only for surveillance but also for targeting high-value military equipment.
Such operations have become increasingly common as both sides expand their use of aerial technologies.
Key battlefield shift
Against this backdrop, Illia Mashyna, commander of the 431st Separate Unmanned Aerial Systems Battalion “Brodiaga,” highlighted the scale of this transformation.
“Unmanned aerial systems currently play one of the key roles on the front lines. 80% of enemy detection and destruction occurs with the help of unmanned systems,” he said during a broadcast on Ukrainian Radio, as cited by Ukrinform.
Rapid changes
Mashyna also emphasized how quickly conditions evolve, making adaptation a constant challenge.

“The enemy devises countermeasures against our assets. We can no longer conduct in-depth reconnaissance as easily as before. Accordingly, we need to make changes as well,” he said.
According to Ukrinform, he noted that shifts occur every few months, forcing units to continuously rethink tactics as the conflict develops.
