A bodybuilding influencer was found burned and left on a remote Honduran roadside, with investigators treating the case as a murder.

The discovery of a popular fitness influencer’s body in Honduras has shocked his followers and raised urgent questions for investigators.

According to NeedToKnow, the charred body of 34-year-old Freddy Rodríguez, known online as Rosado, was found on April 26.

He had been missing for several days before his remains were discovered along a remote road between El Tablón and Las Ánimas in southern Honduras.

Officials said the body was severely burned and in an advanced state of decomposition, delaying formal identification until May 1.

Forensic teams determined that the victim had likely been killed elsewhere before being transported to the roadside location.

Investigation ongoing

Authorities reported that surrounding vegetation showed evidence of fire damage, suggesting the area had been deliberately set alight.

Due to the extent of the burns, Rodríguez’s face was unrecognisable, and identification required further verification along with confirmation from family members.

Rodríguez had built a substantial audience on TikTok over six years, sharing fitness advice, bodybuilding content and motivational messages.

His posts included phrases such as “your body can withstand anything, it’s your mind that you must convince”, “never give up”, and “a good physique awakens envy”.

Tributes pour in

Following confirmation of his death, his social media pages overflowed with messages of grief and remembrance by his many supporters, as reported by NeedToKnow.

Many described him as an inspiring figure who encouraged others in their fitness journeys and praised his influence within the El Paraíso community.

Police continue to examine the area and collect evidence as part of the investigation.

No suspects have been identified and no arrests have been made so far.
