Two years ago, a dog named Pakita went missing, leaving her owner, Ariel Naveira, devastated.
Despite the long absence, Ariel never gave up hope of finding his four-legged friend.
The Arca Animal organization found Pakita and assumed she was a stray. She stayed with them for two years, noticeably distressed and not adapting well to her new environment.
While other dogs were adopted, Pakita remained.
A staff member from Arca Animal decided to post a picture of Pakita on Facebook, hoping to find her a new home. The photo caught the attention of Pakita's grandmother, who immediately informed Ariel.
The emotional reunion
When Ariel arrived at Arca Animal's facility, Pakita initially showed no signs of recognition.
However, as soon as she caught the scent of her owner, her demeanor changed dramatically. The joy and relief were palpable, erasing the two years they had spent apart.
