As reported by Pensionist.dk, the dog's owner was taken aback when she saw her four-legged friend approaching her with a snake coiled around its snout. Imagining such a scenario is challenging for most, but this was the reality the San Diego resident faced that day.

The concerned owner promptly reached out to snake expert Bruce Ireland, known for his popular TikTok channel. Ireland, who has garnered significant attention for his expertise in handling reptiles, quickly responded to the distress call.

The snake expert's intervention was captured on video and later shared on his TikTok channel, where it rapidly gained traction. The footage, which has been viewed by over 14 million people and liked by more than a million, showcases the expert's calm demeanor as he addresses the situation.

In the video, viewers can witness the distressed dog wandering with the snake still wrapped around its snout. Ireland, in an attempt to soothe the pet, can be heard saying, "Oh, sweetheart, you've got a little problem." Shortly after, he hands his mobile phone to the dog's owner, who continues to record the rescue operation. With ease, Ireland manages to remove the reptile and safely places it into a bucket.

Contrary to initial fears, the snake turned out to be a non-venomous gopher snake, posing no threat to the dog or its owner. Ireland, seemingly unfazed by the incident, later commented on his post, stating, "My calls are always interesting, and this one's a classic. Both the dog and the snake are doing fine."

While dogs and snakes might not be the best combination, with dogs often mistaking snakes for toys, this particular encounter had a happy ending. In most cases, a confrontation between a dog and a snake doesn't end well for the snake, but there are rare instances where the dog might be at risk.
