Volvo is rolling out fresh discounts on some of its most popular SUVs, with buyers now able to save thousands on both electric and petrol-powered models.
The latest offers further reduce the cost of Volvo’s EX30 electric SUV after major price cuts introduced earlier this year.
EV prices drop further
According to Drive, the Volvo EX30 Plus Single Motor Extended Range is now available from $54,990 drive-away in Australia under a new nationwide offer.
Depending on where the vehicle is registered, buyers can save more than $1,000 compared with previous drive-away pricing.
The special pricing applies to vehicles ordered and delivered before the end of October.
Earlier cuts already reduced prices
The latest discount follows broader reductions across the EX30 lineup as Volvo prepares for the arrival of the upcoming EX60 electric SUV.
Earlier this year, Volvo cut EX30 prices by up to $11,300 depending on the variant.
The EX30 remains one of the company’s most affordable electric models and offers up to 480km of claimed WLTP driving range.
Charging and tech stay key focus
The rear-wheel-drive EX30 uses a 69kWh battery and supports fast charging, with Volvo claiming the battery can recharge from 10% to 80% in around 28 minutes.
The SUV also features a large central touchscreen with built-in Google apps, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration.
Industry analysts say falling EV prices are helping attract more buyers as competition intensifies across the electric vehicle market.
XC60 also receives discount
Volvo is also offering nationwide drive-away pricing on the XC60 Plus Bright Special Edition with Lifestyle Pack.
The SUV is now priced at $79,990 drive-away, with some buyers able to save more than $4,000 depending on their location.
The package adds features including 20-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, tinted rear windows and a Harman Kardon audio system.
Lower finance rates offered
Some customers may also qualify for reduced finance rates through Volvo Car Financial Services.
Eligible buyers can receive a 1% reduction off standard finance rates for approved electric vehicle purchases, including the EX30 and EX40.
The incentive applies to EVs priced below Australia’s Luxury Car Tax threshold for fuel-efficient vehicles.
EV pricing battle intensifies
Volvo’s latest offers come as automakers continue lowering EV prices to remain competitive amid slowing global demand and increasing pressure from Chinese manufacturers.
As more affordable electric models enter the market, analysts expect pricing competition across the EV sector to intensify further throughout 2026.
