Kenny DeForest, known for his appearance on 'The Late Show with Seth Meyers', has tragically passed away. The 37-year-old American comedian died following a traffic accident where he crashed on his electric bicycle.

According to Deadline, the accident occurred on Wednesday.

An ambulance was called to the scene, and Kenny DeForest was immediately taken into surgery, but ultimately his life could not be saved.

"Kenny died on Wednesday, December 13, at Kings County Hospital surrounded by his parents, family, and friends. His final moments included some of his favorite songs, stories from his childhood, and memories of his great positivity and joy for life," said his friend and fellow comedian Ryan Beck on behalf of Kenny DeForest's relatives to Deadline.

"He was an amazing person and comedian. Everyone in New York's comedy community is truly heartbroken," the statement continued.

The accident that led to Kenny DeForest's death occurred near Prospect Park in Brooklyn, New York. According to information from the emergency services, it was a solo accident where Kenny DeForest crashed on his electric bicycle. Therefore, the police were not called.

Kenny DeForest was known for his performances on shows like 'The Late Late Show with James Corden', 'Late Night with Seth Meyers', and 'Crashing'.
