Prince William Withdraws from Thanksgiving Service for Personal Reasons Amid Royal Health Concerns.

Trending Now

Prince William has recently withdrawn from a scheduled engagement, a move attributed to "personal reasons." The event, a thanksgiving service at Windsor Castle, was organized to honor King Constantine II of Greece, who passed away on January 10, 2023.

This service was particularly significant for Prince William as it involved his godfather.

The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, has been absent from royal engagements since January, following abdominal surgery. The palace has assured the public that her recovery is progressing well.

It's important to note that Prince William's decision to cancel his appearance is not connected to the recent health concerns of King Charles III, who has been diagnosed with cancer. Despite this diagnosis, King Charles III has resumed public duties, including a notable meeting with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak at Buckingham Palace last week. However, he is still maintaining a reduced schedule to prioritize his health.

In other royal news, Prince William recently made headlines with his statements regarding the conflict between Israel and Gaza, advocating for an immediate cessation of hostilities.

The thanksgiving service for the late King Constantine was set to feature members of the Greek Royal Family, including Queen Anne-Marie, former Queen of the Hellenes, and Crown Prince Pavlos.

The ceremony, to be held in St George's Chapel at Windsor, was planned to be led by the Dean of Windsor, The Right Reverend Dr. Christopher Cocksworth, and expected to attract foreign royal families and distinguished guests, as detailed in a previous Buckingham Palace press release.
