He reminisced about the years spent with Braugher, praising his talent, wisdom, and friendship.

Andre Braugher's journey in the entertainment world began with his first film role in the 1989 civil war drama 'Glory', where he starred alongside Matthew Broderick and Denzel Washington.

He gained widespread acclaim for his portrayal of Detective Frank Pembleton in 'Homicide: Life on the Street', a role that earned him two Television Critics Association Awards and an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series.

In 2013, he took on the role of Captain Raymond Holt in the popular cop comedy 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine'.

Braugher is survived by his wife, Ami Brabson, and their three children. In his memory, donations can be made to the Classical Theatre of Harlem, where he served on the board.
