1453: England loses the 100-Years War
From 1337 to 1453, several conflict between the ruling houses of England and France shaped what is now known as the 100-Year War.
On this date in 1453, England lost the battle at Castillon, effectively ending the war.
1821: Spain gives Florida to the US
Florida claimed the territory now known as Florida back in 1513, but after various conflicts and negotiations, Spain gave up Florida in 1821.

1955: Disneyland opens in Anaheim
A magical place opened it doors in Anaheim, California, and since then, millions of children and adults have enjoyed the magic of Disney in Disneyland.
It is the only Disney theme park designed and build under the supervision of Walt Disney.
