FDA issues recalls on pork jerky, sodas and more

Several Twin Sisters Creamery cheeses are being recalled due to an E. coli outbreak.

Sold in Colorado, Idaho, Oregon and Washington, the cheeses were made with unpasteurized milk and distributed between July 27 and Oct. 24, 2025.

Recalled varieties include:

• Whatcom Blue (Batch codes: 250527B, 250610B, 250618B, 250624B)

Three cases of E. coli have been linked to the recall.

Symptoms include vomiting, stomach cramping, diarrhea and low-grade fever.

Cholesterol medication

More than 141,000 bottles of Atorvastatin Calcium, a widely used cholesterol drug, are being recalled by Ascend Laboratories.

The affected medication includes 90-, 500- and 1,000-count bottles with expiration dates from June 2026 to February 2027.

Consumers should check the lot number and contact their pharmacy for a refund or replacement.

Coca-Cola sodas

Several Coca-Cola products sold in Texas are being recalled over concerns of metal fragments in cans.

Affected products include:

• Coca-Cola Zero Sugar (12- and 35-packs)
• Coca-Cola (24- and 35-packs)
• Sprite (12- and 35-packs)

Lot codes include FEB0226MAA, JUN2926MAA, JUN3026MAB. Return products to the place of purchase.

Pork jerky

A nationwide recall involves over 2.2 million pounds of Golden Island Fire-Grilled Korean Barbecue Pork Jerky sold at Costco and Sam’s Club.

Consumers reported finding wiry metal in the jerky.

Affected packages are 14.5 and 16 ounces with best-by dates from Oct. 23, 2025, to Sept. 23, 2026, and the establishment number M279A.
