A wave of product recalls announced this week affects a wide range of items, including dairy products, canned fruit, cholesterol medication, and sodas sold at major retailers like Walmart, Costco, Sam’s Club and WegmaUSAns.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and other agencies urge consumers to check their pantries and medicine cabinets immediately and return or dispose of affected items.
Canned fruit
Canned fruit sold at Walmart and Wegmans in 27 states has been recalled due to elevated lead levels, according to the FDA.
Affected products include:
- Great Value Pear Halves in Pear Juice from Concentrate
- Wegmans Fruit Cocktail in 100% Juice with Added Ingredients
- Wegmans Halved Pears in Pear Juice from Concentrate
- Wegmans Organic Pears Sliced in Organic Pear Juice from Concentrate
All products are in 15-ounce cans with a best-by date of Sept. 1, 2027.

Cheese
Several Twin Sisters Creamery cheeses are being recalled due to an E. coli outbreak.
Sold in Colorado, Idaho, Oregon and Washington, the cheeses were made with unpasteurized milk and distributed between July 27 and Oct. 24, 2025.
Recalled varieties include:
- Whatcom Blue (Batch codes: 250527B, 250610B, 250618B, 250624B)
- Farmhouse (Batch codes: 250603F, 250616B)
- Peppercorn (Batch code: 250603P)
- Mustard Seed (Batch code: 250616M)
Three cases of E. coli have been linked to the recall.

Cholesterol medication
More than 141,000 bottles of Atorvastatin Calcium, a widely used cholesterol drug, are being recalled by Ascend Laboratories.
The affected medication includes 90-, 500- and 1,000-count bottles with expiration dates from June 2026 to February 2027.
Consumers should check the lot number and contact their pharmacy for a refund or replacement.
Coca-Cola sodas
Several Coca-Cola products sold in Texas are being recalled over concerns of metal fragments in cans.

A nationwide recall involves over 2.2 million pounds of Golden Island Fire-Grilled Korean Barbecue Pork Jerky sold at Costco and Sam’s Club.
Consumers reported finding wiry metal in the jerky.
