The State Duma Committee proposes to honor the 15-year-old teenager who saved people in Crocus City Hall.

A fifteen-year-old schoolboy who helped dozens of people escape during the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall has been called for recognition.

The initiative comes from the State Duma Committee on Family Affairs, reports RIA Novosti.

The head of the committee, Nina Ostanina, informed that a corresponding proposal would be sent to the chairman of the lower chamber of parliament, Vyacheslav Volodin, and the council of the State Duma.

The deputy called for the schoolboy to be awarded an honorary certificate from the State Duma for his adept actions.

"This young man simply commands respect and admiration," she stated.

Earlier, the Telegram channel Mash reported on the heroic act of the schoolboy, who was working part-time in the cloakroom of the Crocus City Hall concert venue.

The teenager, named Islam, led the evacuation when a crowd ran into a dead end towards the toilets in an attempt to escape.

He helped more than 100 attendees get outside.

Several men in camouflage stormed the Crocus City Hall on the evening of Friday, March 22 and opened fire on people, followed by several explosions, and a fire ensued. According to the latest information published by the Investigative Committee, the attack claimed the lives of 133 people.
