Josh Taylor, a 25-year-old Australian, tragically passed away after a sand burial accident during a beach barbecue on Queensland's Bribie Island, as reported by Daily Mail.
The incident, which occurred last Saturday, began when Taylor lost his footing and fell into a one-and-a-half-meter-deep sand hole, soon becoming completely engulfed by the sand.
His friends desperately tried to excavate him, performing first aid once he was freed.
Rushed to the hospital, Taylor fought for his life over the next six days, but ultimately, his battle was in vain. His family released a statement, expressing their grief: “He fought as bravely as he could and was the most courageous person we ever knew. He will be missed every single day.”
