Explosion and gunfire in Ankara.
On the opening day of the Turkish parliament, shots and an explosion were heard in the capital city of Ankara on Sunday morning, reports CNN Turk.
According to the media outlet, Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya confirmed that two individuals carried out a bomb attack in front of the entrance to the Ministry of Interior in Ankara. He labeled the incident a “bomb terror attack.”
He also stated that one of the attackers detonated themselves, while the other was “neutralized.” The Associated Press reports that the second attacker was killed in a shootout with the police.

The attack occurred around 9:30 local time, according to the media.
