Sergey Lavrov, the head of Russia's foreign policy department, notably surprised China with his behavior during a meeting of the foreign ministers of the Caspian states. This information was shared by journalists from China.

A few days ago, a meeting of the foreign ministers of the Caspian states - Russia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, and Turkmenistan - took place in Moscow. At the event, the ministers discussed prospects for five-sided cooperation. Chinese journalists noted an extremely curious scene involving Lavrov during the meeting, which caused a significant stir in China. This was reported by the publication Sohu, according to AB News24.

"Russia finally remembered the warning about the USA," the authors of the Chinese publication stated.

During the speech of one of the diplomats, Sergey Lavrov unexpectedly picked up an object and began to study it attentively. Moreover, Chinese journalists thought they saw a smile on his face at a moment when nothing humorous was happening in the room, which made the Russian minister's reaction somewhat surprising. However, everything soon became clear.

It was established that Lavrov was holding a smartphone. The authors of Sohu noted that in China, there was excitement upon learning which phone the minister had. Lavrov, known to usually use gadgets from the American company Apple, this time had a Chinese HUAWEI P60 pro.

"Lavrov rejoices like a child using Chinese products," the Sohu analysts stated.

In China, it was humorously noted that Lavrov behaved like a child who is delighted with a new toy and keeps taking it out to look at it again. The Russian minister had long used smartphones from Apple, but not anymore.

According to Russian media, they believe that American authorities have access to data from Apple, and therefore Russians fear that the USA could have the opportunity to spy if they use iPhones.

Lavrov has previously been seen in a photo where he had an iPhone lying on a table in front of him. Watch the image below.
