According to Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, sanctions have not hindered the strengthening of economic ties with friendly nations. Over nine months, trade turnover with these countries increased by 21%.

This was announced by the Russian Prime Minister during a strategic session on the development of foreign economic activity according to Ura News.

"Despite the pressure of sanctions, there is a strengthening of cooperation with constructively minded countries, primarily with partners in the EAEU, CIS, SCO, BRICS, as well as countries in the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. Over nine months, trade turnover with these states increased by 21%," said the head of the Russian government.

The broadcast is being aired on the "Russia 24" TV channel.

He specified that the increase in trade, in terms of value, was most significant with countries such as China, Turkey, Belarus, India, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, the UAE, and Brazil.

Mishustin continued, stating that the share of friendly countries in Russia's trade turnover could exceed 90%.
