The social media platform X, owned by Elon Musk, has taken action by suspending the account of Yulia Navalnaya, the widow of the recently deceased Russian opposition leader, Alexei Navalny.

This development occurred within days of her husband's death in a Russian penal colony, sparking a mix of concern and curiosity among the global audience.

After creating her account on X on February 19, Navalnaya quickly attracted a following of over 90,000 users.

She used the platform to voice her demands, notably through a video address where she called for the return of her husband's body to their family.

Additionally, she made headlines with a tweet that referred to Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary for Vladimir Putin, as a "murderer’s press secretary."

Before the suspension, users reported that Navalnaya's account was shadowbanned, meaning her tweets were hidden from broader visibility and could only be viewed through direct links.

This restriction was soon followed by the complete suspension of her account.
