Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has made a striking statement, accusing the United States and the United Kingdom of exacerbating the conflict in the Red Sea area, particularly in Yemen.

During a press conference on Friday, he claimed that their military strikes in Yemen were disproportionate and contributed to turning the Red Sea into a "sea of blood."

This is reported by Times of Israel.

Houthis' Response to the Attacks

President Erdoğan highlighted the Houthis' "successful defense and response" against these attacks, suggesting that the situation in Yemen is more complex than portrayed by the US and UK.

Legal Action Against Israel

In addition to his comments on Yemen, Erdoğan touched upon Türkiye's stance on Israel, specifically concerning a lawsuit filed against Israel on charges of genocide at the International Court of Justice.

Expressing confidence in the Court's process, he emphasized Türkiye's role in documenting what he referred to as Israel's crimes.

Erdoğan stated his belief that Israel would be found guilty in the case, indicating a strong stance by Türkiye on this international legal matter.
