Israeli President Isaac Herzog said on Sunday that Israel’s attack on Iran is meant to protect not only Israel, but also world peace.
His remarks came during a visit to the city of Bat Yam, south of Tel Aviv, where several people were killed in an Iranian missile attack overnight, dpa reports.
“Our goal is to change the reality in the Middle East,” Herzog said.
He described Iran as an “evil empire” that repeatedly attacks Israel, sends missiles and terror groups, and develops its nuclear program, which he called a serious threat to humanity.
