Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Moscow has no information about a reported Trump-Putin peace plan, while urging Ukraine to enter negotiations immediately. His remarks were published by Kremlin officials.
Pressure on Zelensky
Peskov said recent battlefield setbacks for Ukraine should “prompt” Kyiv to come to the table.
According to the Kremlin spokesperson, “The effectiveness of the actions of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation should convince Zelensky and his regime that it is better to negotiate and do it now, better to do it right now, than later.”
He said Russian military operations are intended to force the Zelensky government toward a “peaceful solution,” adding that continuing the conflict is “useless and dangerous” for Kyiv.
Peskov also claimed that Ukraine’s “space for freedom of decision” is shrinking as it loses territory.
