The deportation also comes on the heels of the far-right influencer being a staunch defender of anti-immigration policies and ICE.
Immigration officers detained British far-right influencer and commentator Milo Yiannopoulos at Louis Armstrong Airport in New Orleans on Thursday after he overstayed his visa. By Friday, he was sent back to the United Kingdom, where he is originally from.
His visa had expired while he was living in America.
Instead of trying to get it renewed, he skirted his immigration hearing last month, according to court records.
A MAGA feud
A spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security told The Independent: “On August 28, ICE deported Milo Yiannopoulos, an illegal alien from the United Kingdom, back to his home country.”
Another far-right blogger and influencer, Laura Loomer, went on social media to take full credit for getting her colleague and former friend deported.
Loomer said on social media that she reported Yiannopoulos after he made threatening posts, including one from March featuring her photo with the caption “target practice.”
“I’m simply one of many people who were threatened with violence by Milo when he was living in America as an illegal alien,” she wrote on X. “Milo’s own behavior is what led to him being deported when he overstayed his visa.”

A defender of ICE — which then deported him
Milo Yiannopoulos is originally from Kent in England, but moved to the US when he first gained recognition as a writer for Breitbart News, a far-right website dealing with politics and culture wars.
The sudden deportation carries sharp irony. For years, Yiannopoulos built a public profile around demands for aggressive immigration enforcement across the country.
In June, he wrote on X that California needed checkpoints at supermarket entrances, gas stations, strip malls, and government buildings to deport non-citizens.

Instead, federal agents detained him inside a Louisiana airport terminal.
The civil war turns ugly
Laura Loomer and Milo Yiannopoulos are both part of the MAGA ecosystem and became fast friends when the movement first started with Trump’s presidency back in 2016. At some point, they had a falling out that was also an indicator of where their careers were headed.
While Milo quickly faded into obscurity after he seemingly condoned pedophilia, Loomer is somehow in a position where she has the ear of the president and a direct line to him.
Loomer might take responsibility for Yiannopoulos’ deportation, but Trump’s border czar is not quite as keen to do the same.
“There’s a lot of people calling ICE,” Homan said to CNN on Sunday. “She (Loomer) says she’s one. She probably was, but bottom line is, it doesn’t matter. He was ordered to be removed by an immigration judge and ICE’s job is to execute that order.”
It remains to be seen how Milo Yiannopoulos will continue to push his MAGA agenda back home in Britain.
