The art of balance took on a new meaning when Aristotelis Valaoritis from Paphos, Cyprus, set a new Guinness World Record by balancing 319 wine glasses on his head.
But the spectacle didn't end there; Valaoritis concluded his feat by letting the tower of glasses crash to the ground, shattering them all.
The video, shared by Guinness World Records on Instagram, shows Valaoritis standing still as an assistant perched on a table adds more and more glasses to the stack on his head.
Despite the precarious tower growing taller, Valaoritis maintains his composure and balance. Once the final glass is placed, he makes a slight movement with his head, causing the entire tower to come crashing down, breaking all the glasses.
This isn't Valaoritis's first foray into the world of balancing acts. According to a blog by Guinness World Records, he previously held a record for balancing 49 glasses on his head while dancing. He broke his own record with this new feat, achieved on May 26, 2023.
The video has garnered significant attention online, amassing over 390,000 views and nearly 33,000 likes since it was posted. Social media users had a range of reactions, from awe to humor.
Some claimed they could easily beat the record, while others humorously stated their personal best was balancing just one glass.
