In recent days, the internet has been buzzing with rumors about the health of Ramzan Kadyrov, the leader of Chechnya. Unofficial reports from Russian media suggest that Kadyrov is in a Moscow hospital, while some rumors now claim that he has passed away.
Last Friday, the first reports about Kadyrov's deteriorating health surfaced.
A Telegram channel associated with the Chechen opposition reported that Kadyrov, who is closely linked to Kremlin authorities, had fallen into a coma.
Ukrainian media outlet Obozrevatel also reported the same, citing acute renal failure as the reason for the coma.
However, on September 17th, a video was posted on Kadyrov's Telegram channel showing him walking and appearing to be in good health. It remains unclear whether the video is recent or from older archives.
Kremlin responds
When asked about Kadyrov's health, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated, "We have no information on this matter. The President's administration cannot issue statements about the health of the head of Chechnya." Dmitry Peskov says according to Planeta.pl.
It's no secret that Kadyrov has been suffering from kidney and liver issues. In July, his son took to Instagram to ask for divine protection for his father, stating that his condition was severe.
