Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has stated that Donald Trump, the former President of the United States, has pledged not to send financial support to Ukraine if he wins a future presidential election.

This statement was made during an interview with M1, as reported by Magyar Nemzet.

Orbán conveyed Trump's stance, asserting, "He has a very clear vision, with which it is difficult to disagree. He says the following: firstly, he will not give a single penny in the Ukrainian-Russian war. Therefore, the war will end, because it is obvious that Ukraine will not be able to fight on its own."

The Hungarian Prime Minister believes that without financial assistance from the USA, Europe would also struggle to fund Ukraine adequately, which, in his view, would lead to the end of the conflict.

Orbán noted that Trump has developed "quite detailed plans" on how to conclude Russia's war against Ukraine, plans that align with Hungary's interests.

However, Orbán mentioned he was "not authorized" to divulge any details about Trump's strategies.

The comments follow a recent meeting between Orban and Trump in Florida, USA, where they discussed "a wide range of issues concerning Hungary and the United States, including the paramount importance of strong and secure borders to protect each country's sovereignty."

Following their discussions, Orbán once again praised Trump, suggesting that Trump's return to leadership would make "the world a better place." Trump reciprocated the praise, commending Orbán as a "fantastic leader."
