Emergency services are working to contain and extinguish the fire that followed a rocket attack.

The latest Russian attack on Ukraine targeted the city of Mykolaiv, which has recently been subject to massive rocket shelling.

According to recent reports from Vitaly Kim, the head of the Mykolaiv Oblast Administration (OVA), the attack resulted in a major fire and has, as of now, led to an increased casualty count, with five individuals reported injured.

Kim confirmed that all five victims received outpatient medical care following the incident.

The attack, which occurred on the afternoon of May 15, targeted an industrial zone in Mykolaiv, leading to significant damage and a large fire.

The Department of Emergency Services in the Mykolaiv region detailed that the rocket strike caused a fire at a local service station, engulfing an area of 400 square meters.

The fire not only affected the service station but also spread to nearby buildings and vehicles.

Emergency response units, including the 3rd and 4th state fire and rescue squads, were promptly deployed to the scene.

The operational coordination center was activated to manage the situation efficiently, with the aid of the Magirus Wolf R1 tactical robot. Additionally, two water trucks were utilized to ensure an uninterrupted water supply to combat the flames.

The efforts of the firefighting teams have successfully contained the fire, and operations to fully extinguish it are ongoing.
