In a quirky turn of events that sounds like it's straight out of a comic book, a hair salon in Genoa, Italy, became the center of an unusual police investigation.
The salon, frequented by an oddly high number of bald clients who seemingly had little need for haircuts, raised suspicions among the local police.
Their instincts were right.
After setting up a special surveillance operation, the authorities discovered that the salon was a front for a drug trafficking operation. This is reported by L'Independant.
The 55-year-old hairstylist was revealed to be the mastermind behind the scheme.
Police searches inside the salon uncovered 100 grams of cocaine, four precision scales, and drug packaging materials. Interestingly, while some clients visited the salon solely to purchase narcotics, others opted for a dual service – getting a haircut along with their drug purchase.
The drug-dealing barber has since been arrested and charged with drug trafficking.
The story seems to underscore the old saying, "Not everything is as it seems," especially in a hair salon bustling with bald clients!
