The Royal Family did not reveal the specific nature of the 42-year-old princess's surgery, but they did disclose that she is likely to be hospitalized for the next 10-14 days.
"The Princess understands the interest this statement will generate. She hopes the public will understand her desire to maintain as normal a daily routine as possible for her children and also hopes that her personal health information remains private," the message from the palace stated.
