Putin Ally Claims Third World War has Already Started.

Trending Now

TV journalist Vladimir Solovyov has long been one of the leading propagandists for the Russian dictator, Vladimir Putin.

Known for conveying the Kremlin's propaganda about the "special military operation" in Ukraine, Solovyov has vigorously trumpeted the importance of Russia "liberating" and "denazifying" Ukraine.

Solovyov has also made a name for himself by claiming that Russia is not only warring against Ukraine but against the entire NATO.

"It's a war against NATO, a war for our country's survival," Solovyov emphasized in a notable TV appearance in August 2022.

Claims: Third World War Has Begun

Now, Vladimir Solovyov is back in the spotlight.

In a recent TV appearance, the propagandist asserts that the third world war has already begun.

"We are heading towards the third world war. In my opinion, it's already underway. By the way, Trump thinks so too," says Solovyov, as reported by Newsweek.

Shows Clip of Trump

Solovyov refers to a statement from former U.S. President Donald Trump.

In the broadcast, he plays an edited clip where Trump responds to questions from journalists.

In the video, Trump is asked to express his opinion on the American attacks on military targets in Yemen.

"I believe we are closer to the third world war than we have ever been," Trump says.

"And it won't be a regular war. There will be weapons of mass destruction," he adds.

In front of a large Russian TV audience, Vladimir Solovyov comments on the clip with the ex-president.

"Trump says the third world war has already started, and Biden caused it with his actions in Yemen," he falsely claims.

A Large Portion of the Population Listens

A significant portion of the Russian population relies on state TV as their primary source of information.

The Kremlin controls all TV companies.

This gives the Putin regime the opportunity to trumpet its perspective on events in Ukraine and the world.
