In a striking incident that sheds light on the dire conditions within President Vladimir Putin's army, Russian soldiers were caught on drone footage abandoning a wounded comrade in the midst of battle in Ukraine.

The footage, captured by Ukraine’s 47th brigade currently defending a city, shows a disturbing scene where the soldiers' disregard for their fellow fighter is chillingly evident.

The video, verified by Daily Mail, reveals two Russian soldiers dragging an injured comrade out of the heat of battle.

However, in a shocking turn of events, they stop midway, drop the wounded soldier, steal his coat, and leave him in a vulnerable state, essentially for dead.

The callousness displayed by the soldiers is a stark reminder of the grim reality faced by many in the Russian army.

The situation takes a graver turn when a suicide drone strikes the area, hitting and killing one of the abandoning soldiers.

His comrade, in a panic, flees the scene, leaving behind the coat he had just stolen. This incident not only highlights the chaos within the ranks but also the lack of camaraderie and the desperate survival instincts kicking in during warfare.

The city where this occurred is strategically significant, and Russia has been relentlessly trying to take control of it. However, Putin’s army has suffered enormous casualties without making substantial territorial gains.

The desperation and lack of discipline shown by the Russian soldiers in the footage are indicative of the larger challenges and moral decay facing the Russian military in this conflict.
