Normally, reporting live on seemingly mundane topics like train delays is considered low-risk for journalists. However, this was far from a routine or dull assignment on Friday afternoon in the Brazilian city of São Paulo.

Beatriz Backes, a reporter for TV Globo, was robbed while conducting a live broadcast for the program "Bom Dia São Paulo." She was reporting on delays in the Linha 1-Azul metro line due to a circulation failure.

Stationed in front of the Luz station in central São Paulo, the screen began to shake, and the broadcast was abruptly cut off.

Sources confirmed to Notícias da TV that Backes was indeed robbed.
