Trump-Themed Restaurateur Faces Deportation
Roland Beainy, a 28-year-old Lebanese-born entrepreneur who built a chain of Donald Trump-themed restaurants in Texas, is under investigation by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
He now faces the prospect of deportation.
From Bellville to a Four-Location Chain
Beainy launched the first Trump Burger in Bellville, Texas, in 2020.
The restaurant served as both a tribute to the former president and a place to sell burgers branded with Trump’s image.
Over the years, he expanded to four politically themed restaurants across the state.
ICE Turns Its Attention to Beainy
The same federal agency central to Trump’s hardline immigration policies is now pursuing Beainy.
ICE alleges that he provided false information on his immigration application, putting his permanent resident status at risk.
Homeland Security Confirms Investigation
A Department of Homeland Security spokesperson told Newsweek:
“The government does not tolerate immigration fraud,” confirming that Beainy’s case is under active review.
Allegations of Marriage Fraud
Authorities claim Beainy sought US legal status through a woman he said he married.
However, investigators allege there is no evidence the two ever lived together, raising suspicions of a sham marriage.
Detained, Then Released on Bail
Beainy was detained earlier this year before being released on bail while his immigration case proceeds.
He maintains that he owns 50% of the Trump Burger restaurant chain and has lived in the US since 2019.
Beainy’s fate will be decided at a hearing scheduled for November 18 in Houston, Texas, where he will face formal proceedings that could result in his deportation.
