A recent poll conducted by DailyMail.com and J.L. Partners has revealed significant public opinion regarding President Joe Biden's potential run for re-election in 2024. The poll shows that 60 percent of Americans believe Biden should not seek re-election, with only 34 percent in favor and six percent undecided.

The survey's findings are particularly striking among Democrats, with nearly half suggesting it's not too late for Biden, 81, to be replaced as the party's nominee.

Even among Democrats, 29 percent believe Biden should not run, while 64 percent support his candidacy.

The poll also highlights a generational divide, with 68 percent of voters under 30 years old opposing Biden's re-election bid. This sentiment is echoed across all age groups, with over 50 percent of voters in each group believing Biden should withdraw from the race.

The results also indicate a shift in independent voters' opinions, a crucial demographic for any presidential candidate. Sixty-five percent of independents believe Biden should not run, with only 26 percent supporting his re-election.

This shift is significant considering independents' previous support for Biden over Trump in the 2020 election.
