The Russian Armed Forces have carried out a retaliatory strike on Ukraine’s energy sector using precision weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
This action was in response to Kyiv’s attempts to damage Russian energy facilities, according to a statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense.
Details of the Strike
The Ministry of Defense reported that all designated targets were hit.
The attack focused on Ukrainian energy facilities crucial for the production of weapons and military equipment for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“In response to the attempts of the Kyiv regime to cause damage to Russian energy facilities, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched a group strike with high-precision long-range air-launched weapons, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles, against Ukrainian energy facilities that ensure the production of weapons and military equipment for the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the department stated, as reported by TASS.
"The goals of the strike were achieved. All designated objects were hit."
